"Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Joel Peralta was ejected from tonight's game in the bottom of the eighth inning after umpires found a foreign substance either in or on his glove.
Peralta, who pitched here for the Nationals in 2010, came on to start the inning. Shortly after, Nationals manager Davey Johnson asked the umpires to check his glove. It didn't take long before the glove was confiscated and Peralta was ejected.
Rays manager Joe Maddon argued with the umpires and even glared at the Nationals dugout a few times."
